We are the Pickering Family. creators of Island Style Peanut Butter and proud owners of the Island Style Breakfast Bar in Wailoaloa, Nadi.

What started as a simple love for wholesome food has grown into a passion for sharing healthy, local goodness with travelers and locals alike.

It all began a few years ago when we were visiting family in Fiji and couldn’t find a natural peanut butter to suit our growing boys (or our own cravings!). So, we made our own using roasted peanuts from a roadside stall and a touch of Fijian coconut oil. The result? A delicious, one-of-a-kind blend that quickly won over friends, family, and eventually market stalls and supermarket shelves.

But like many small businesses, we had to adapt. With the rising cost and difficulty of sourcing peanuts locally, we made the decision to pivot. Our commitment to fresh, local ingredients remained unchanged, so the Island Style Breakfast Bar was born.

Today, our WAILOALOA café serves up smoothie bowls, juices, toast, and quality coffee. Staying True to how we launched our peanut butter, keep it simple, keep it natural, and make it with love. It’s a space where health-conscious travelers and locals can fuel up, chill out, and enjoy the best of Fiji’s tropical flavors.
